Westward offers truly breath-taking views across the Atlantic and towards the headlands of the Lizard Peninsular.
Westward welcomes you with its deluxe coastal style and mesmerising panoramic sea views. Its location on the outskirts of Porthleven is just a short stroll to into the town, a few minutes to the beach and sits on the South West Coastal Path leading towards National Trust Penrose estate – offering something for everyone.
The property has been renovated to a high quality holiday home from home, by the owners of Gulls Way and Trigg Cottage, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family holiday. From the patio and garden you can enjoy alfresco dining in the wonderful relaxing environment, the perfect vantage point for watching seals play on the rocks below or spotting regular visiting pods of dolphins.
The open plan living and dining area is a homely space to relax in, decorated in coastal blues and whitewashed hues. The living room will seat up to 6 in comfort with an additional window seat to take full advantage of the views. The cosy wood burning stove will make nights-in a delight for cooler evenings. The modern kitchen has plenty of storage and everything you would need for anyone who enjoys serious holiday cooking. The dining area offers upholstered, built in bench seating and a large dining table providing ample space for the family.
A door from the living area opens onto the patio which has a large table and chairs for outdoor dining. The area has a full fence so makes a safe space for young children and dogs. There is a timber staircase down to the grassed area below. There is one parking space provided at the front to the right of the property
Tucked away off the living room is the delightful twin room with adult size built-in bunk beds and an adjacent shower room.
Upstairs are the two larger bedrooms where you can enjoy the changing moods of the sea and sky from large picture windows. The roomy master bedroom with ensuite bath/shower has a super-king bed, handmade luxury furniture and a hotel quality mattress complemented by the floor to ceiling windows with views straight across the bay. A door opens to the little balcony.
The second bedroom has a king-sized bed, also with a luxurious mattress and bedding and an adjacent shower room. Double doors open to the balcony, perfect for your morning coffee!
With all this going for it, Westward will be difficult to leave!

Fantastic stay at Westward with the family and dog for a week. The house itself was immaculately clean and had everything we would need for our stay. The location on the edge of Porthleven was perfect, 2 minutes from the costal path to Loe Bar and a 10-minute walk into the harbour. Would definitely recommend and return again.
The customer service we received from Porthleven Holiday Cottages was the best we’ve had when booking accommodation in this country, and the thought which had gone into making the house welcoming was obvious. Providing washing up liquid, dish brushes and cloths, hairdryers etc made it all much easier. And the customer service team and really helpful and friendly every time I’ve called them.
It was absolutely amazing… can’t wait to stay at Westward again - best cottage so far. Location is out of this world.
What an amazing week! Truly relaxing and everything we had hoped for. Only one sunny day but lots of excuses to light eh fire and dunker down with a good book!
The house was superb - clean, very comfortable and a pleasure to come back to each day. We had fab days on the beachd and spent a great afternoon jewellery making in Porthleven. Great meals out at The Harbour Inn and the Square. Love Porthleven!
