Cooking and Dining
As you arrive in the pretty shared courtyard, the main Farmhouse is to the left. From the large hallway you will find the well equipped country style kitchen with black granite worktops, stylish range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of space for cooking. big windows offer views onto the garden and the fields beyond. A relaxing place to cook for the chef of the family!
Beyond the kitchen is the large dining room. A large oak table and chairs offers seating for 12 with chandeliers, soft lighting and a woodburning stove keeping the room cosy in winter. The large windows looks out onto the luscious garden. The dining room is perfect if you have caterers providing food with a large sideboard for serving or if you would like a relaxed family breakfast. Off of the dining room is a bathroom / wetroom which is also accessible from an exterior door.
To the right of the entrance is the large lounge and TV room. The living space is divided into a lounge area with woodburner towards the far end and TV viewing or reading space on the nearside. Relax under the high oak-beamed vaulted ceilings on comfy sofas and chairs in front of the roaring wood burning stove or open up the two french doors to the patio and be cooled by the breeze on a warm day. The TV to one side of the space allows for a social atmosphere without interfering with others who would rather enjoy other activities. The luxuriously soft carpets, cool pastel toned furnishings and exposed stonework give this room a contemporary country feel.
Directly off the lounge is a large conservatory which gives an additional space to relax and enjoy each others company. The comfortable conservatory furniture and light that enters the room makes it a lovely space to unwind in, play board games and read. The large windows look out onto the garden and give a feeling of being surrounded by foliage. Doors open onto directly onto the sunny patio.
The study offers an additional space located off of the dining room and downstairs King bedroom. Filled with light from the large windows and with a wood burning stove that can be lit in the winter, the room is snug with a comfy chair and sofa.
Entrance to the indoor, heated swimming pool is to the far end of the lounge. The single lane swimming pool will keep children entertained for hours and is great for a bit of morning exercise. The pool room has lovely exposed stone walls and is surrounded by blue tiles.
Tregoose has six sumptuous bedrooms (3 Kings, 1 Double and 2 Twins) all individually decorated and with high-quality linen and furnishings. Leading off of the dining room is the downstairs King bedroom in the quiet back of the house, looking towards the tree and shrub lined driveway. Large oak doors open onto the study. This room is ideal for a muti-generational group where grand-parents may want their own space or likewise a bride may use to get ready for the ceremony (we also do weddings and special events at Tregoose).
From the hall way next to the dining room, stairs lead to the upstairs bedrooms. The King blue bedroom has views onto open fields and a large ensuite shower room with rainfall shower. The second upstairs King and Double bedroom also have gorgeous views of the gardens and fields beyond. The Twin, yellow room, which is equally beautifully decorated, has a window onto the entrance courtyard. These bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath and over-bath shower.
Downstairs is the second Twin bedroom which is accessed via the conservatory or the door towards the back of the lounge. The room has a WC next door and shower room in the pool area.
The patio is accessed from the lounge through french doors or the conservatory and gets sun all day. There are solid wood furniture and cushions to accommodate 12 so you can enjoy an evening of alfresco dining or afternoon luncheon on the patio. The patio looks onto the gardens and wild fields beyond.
The gardens surrounding the back of the house have mature trees and shrubs and are beautifully kept. Enter the garden from the door to the main house or from the patio. The large lawn makes a perfect place for family games – croquet or cricket anyone? The gardens offer a place for little ones to explore and the fields beyond are kept wild to encourage wildlife and butterflies. Take a walk and get back to nature, there is are steps from the garden onto the fields.

We had an amazing time at the farmhouse. Loved the high end finish made us feel at come from the moment we walked in the door. Loved Porthleven Harbour. We will definitely be back soon.
We were very honoured to be the first guests to stay at Tregoose Farmhouse and were certainly not disappointed. The property is set in beautiful countryside with views across the valley and has been very tastefully renovated to a high standard of comfort and sophistication, the children were of course delighted with the pool, which is well equipped with electric shower and changing area and deck chairs. The rooms are large and airy, which was great for us with 5 children amongst the 8 adults, 3 of which are just over a year old, and 4 dogs! it gave everyone the space they needed. The well matured garden was great for playing cricket, rugby and rounder’s, unfortunately we were not able to christen the patio furniture and BBQ as the weather was a little unkind but are looking forward to returning next year and will try again. If you book to holiday here with family or friends you will definitely have a fantastic time.
We were so blessed being one of the first family's to stay at Tregoose Farmhouse. It was splendid, the furniture and fittings were incredible. Such an eye for detail. There was nothing that we could have wanted that wasn't provided.
