Gwel Teg (Cornish for ‘Beautiful View’) is situated on Bay View Terrace and instantly recognisable as one of Porthleven’s landmark settings.
Having undergone extensive renovation in 2016/17, the house offers an attractive downstairs open plan kitchen, living area including wood burning stove, and stunning harbour and sea views from the bay window at the front. There is a useful boot room and laundry to the rear of the house leading to a small courtyard.
Upstairs on the first floor is the large family bathroom and 2 king size bedrooms, one with glorious views across the bay, adjacent to a second shower room. Stairs to the second floor lead to a sunny twin bedroom and business desk with high speed wifi on the landing.
Outside in front of the house is a patio with table and chairs in which to relax, soak up the sunshine and take full advantage of the house’s elevated position in the village.

Lovely week, we come every year. This is the second time we have stayed at Gwel Teg since it has been available to let. It is finished to a very high standard and the beds are all comfortable and the bathrooms very accessible.
Everything was just as we’d hoped. We had a week in Cornwall to celebrate our daughter’s 40th birthday. Our party consisted of my husband and myself, our daughter, son-in-law and our two granddaughters aged 13 and 15. Also, of course, our two dogs, a German Shepard and a Labrador. Everything we needed was there. It was spotless and very well equipped with lovely quality accessories.

Very high standard - great location overlooking the harbour. A well equipped house with everything we needed.
Great house, nicely done out and great location. Would definelty stay again and loved we could bring the dog. dog biscuits and bowls were a great touch.
Gwel Teg was extremely comfortable stylish and well equipped. As previous holiday property owners we are pretty picky! could not find a single thing wanting in this lovely property - just wish it was ours!
