Festive markets with local artisan makers, visits with Santa, delicious festive treats, pantomimes and Christmas trees shining bright – There is plenty to do in the run up to Christmas and New year in Cornwall!

Porthleven Christmas Lights
7th December 6.30pm
On the Harbour Head. See the Porthleven Town Band, Santa & Fireworks. Late night shopping and offers from local shops. If you can’t be there, watch it live on our Porthleven Webcam.
Porthleven Christmas Market
17-18th November 10am – 4pm
Taking place on the Harbour Head, this year’s Christmas market will have 22 market stalls selling anything from Cornish homemade gifts and crafts, to mulled wine, roast turkey baps and artisan food.

Eden Project Festival of Christmas
13th October – 24th February 2019
Enjoy Christmas concerts, meet Father Christmas and have a go at ice-skating in the indoor ice-skating rink within the Eden Project, exciting winter activity for all ages in any weather. Adults £7, Child £6 or £24 (any combination of four adults or children).

Christmas at Trevince
29th Nov – 1st Dec & 6th – 8th Dec 2018
The house has been in the same family since the 12th Century and now is to the public for this unique event. Set in farmland and woodland the owners will be creating a unique Christmas experience with beautiful gifts created by local artisans and sourced from across Europe. Buy gifts and home decor and enjoy the cosy cafe too.

Truro late night shopping
Wednesdays from 30th November, open until 9pm
Enjoy Truro by night at the late night shopping events which include market stalls selling local produce. Enjoy a warming mulled wine and mince pie whilst picking up some unique Christmas gifts.

27th November to the 1st December
10am – 9pm Wed, 10am – 5pm Thurs to Sun
The market will be held at Truro’s Lemon Quay Piazza and over 90 traders will be attending. From candles and pottery, to clothes, chocolates and ale, all products sold at the fair are 100% Made in Cornwall.

St Ives Etsy Made Local Christmas Fair
30th November – 2nd December
Cornish designers, artisans and makers with shops on Etsy.com, will be selling their unique, high quality products over the course of three days. The fair is open 6pm to 9pm on December 1 with late night shopping, live music and a cocktail bar and open 10am to 5pm – now held in its new location in Penryn Campus.

Helston Christmas Lights
29th November 2018 (5-9pm)
The lights will be switched on at 7.30pm but prior to that Santa’s Christmas Grotto will be open in the centre of Helston and there will be live music on the centre stage from 6pm.

Bodmin & Wenford Railway Christmas Train Ride
1st – 24th December
Enjoy a steam train ride and visit Santa in his grotto on the train during your journey. Free present from Santa for the children, mince pies and seasonal refreshments for adults. A wonderful way to start the Christmas Festivities!

Mousehole Harbour Lights
16th December, 7pm
Christmas lights at Mousehole paint a wonderful picture reflected off the waters of the inner harbour. People come from far and wide every year to see the display. Be warned, it does get busy. But it is worth it!
The 2019 ‘switch-on’ will be held on Saturday 14th December 2019 at 6.30pm. The lights will then be on each evening between 5pm and 11pm from 16th December 2017 until 6th January 2018 (With the exception of 19th Dec, when the lights will be dimmed between 8-9pm).

Flambards Christmas Fayre
2nd and 3rd December 10am – 4pm
Explore a number of stores selling a selection of festive gifts and treats whilst listening to live Christmas carols and songs performed by the Helston Town Band. Santa will be on hand all weekend for meet and greets and entrance to the fayre is just £1 per person.

Trevena Cross Nursery Christmas Festival & Market
Dates throughout December – 10am – 4pm
Trevena Cross will be raising thousands of pounds for charity with a Santa’s Grotto, a Christmas market, a giant snow globe complete with snow machine, a Christmas Tree Forest and live music. The market is free to enter.

Winter Wood Rogue Theatre at Tehidy Woods
7th- 30th December
This is adventurous theatre at its best. Be drawn into Tehidy Woods on a fanciful experience of theatre and art, down to the main stage (covered!) and experience the Winter Wood Christmas show. A feast for the eyes and the senses. Wellies and raincoats essential!

Nadelik, Pendennis Castle

Nadelik, A Cornish Christmas. Celebrate Christmas the Cornish way with fireside tales, music and dancing plus find your perfect present from the range of craft and gift stalls. Enjoy mulled wine and mince pies and meet Father Christmas in the castle keep. Charge applies for none English heritage members and to visit Santa.
