The annual Porthleven Food and Music Festival is now in its eleventh year and enhances Porthleven’s reputation.

Kota Restaurant £££

Porthleven at its finest! Created by Jude Kereama, who recently appeared on the Great British Menu. You can expect exquisite food in a lovely atmosphere in a contemporary setting. Kota Restaurant has had the Award for Creativity and Innovation by the Trencherman’s Guide 2016, recognised by the Good Food Guide, the Michelin Guide (with two Bib Gourmand Awards), Harden’s Restaurant Guide, Square Meal, and the AA (with two Rosettes).

Kota Kai ££

Taking up the whole of the first floor of Celtic House, situated looking directly onto the harbour, this restaurant offers modern Asian cuisine and delicious cocktails. The lounge is perfect for a coffee with a view and the kids’ rooms are well equipped for entertaining. The food is delicious, uncomplicated and the service is excellent.

The Square ££

The Square is a great place to while away the afternoon on the terrace in the sunshine or to enjoy an evening with views of the twinkling harbour lights. The brasserie menu changes daily with an emphasis on local sourcing The Square has recently been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand for food quality.  From their Deli counter they serve delicious homemade ice-creams to take away as well as other local delicacies.

Amelie ££

The glass-fronted main dining room and enclosed terrace offer views of the harbour. Their menu offers fresh fish, Sunday roasts and Summer Session music nights provide the perfect backdrop to the delicious food.

Cantina ££

Situated in the Clay Quay building on Breageside, Cantina offers a relaxed atmosphere with a menu with dishes in the world street food style.

Nauti-but-Ice £

Coffee, cake, ice-cream and delicious lunches with a view over the harbour. The perfect place to relax after a cliff path walk or returning from the beach. The terrace is busy in summer and mind winter days too.

Street food container serving burgers, fries, nachos, pulled pork and other modern street food.

Harbourside Café £

Great for a full English breakfast or a light lunch while watching the boats come and go in the harbour.

Bolla Kitchen £

Located in the Shipyard Market, Bolla creates freshly made healthy food bowls and curries. The long benches in the market are perfect for enjoying your meal and soaking up the atmosphere.

The Twisted Currant £

The Twisted Currant is a traditional tea room in Porthleven, Cornwall, with a shabby chic feel (not a doily in sight), a bright fresh space and a cosy welcoming atmosphere.

Origin Coffee – The Roastery Cafe ££

Origin Coffee HQ is located in Tolponds Industrial Estate on the way out of Porthleven. The cafe offers artisan coffee and treats. Look out for seasonal pop up restaurants.

The Corner Deli  ££

Located on Fore Street, The Corner Deli offers delicious home made food to eat in or take-away,  locally produced food and pastries.

Ced’s Bagels £

Authentic fresh, hand rolled bagels to take away in the Shipyard next door to the market.

Pizza Gogo

Pizza to eat in for take-away. Located next door to Naut-but-Ice.

Philps Bakery

Pasties and bakery on Commercial Road.

Ann’s Pasties

Home made pasties and a pint of beer. Located opposite The Deli in Fore Street.

Porthleven Fish and Chips £

A popular traditional chippy which can be found on Shute Lane just off the harbour.

Ship Inn, Porthleven £

A beautiful 17th Century pub overlooking the Porthleven harbour. The perfect place to watch calm seas and sunshine over the harbour in summer and enjoy storm watching in the winter. Delicious traditional pub food and great beer!

Shoals Brewery £

Located in the buildings of Porthleven’s historic shipyard, Shoals has created Porthleven’s first locally brewed beer. A welcoming atmosphere serving cocktails alongside local brews. Woodfired pizza served in the evenings.

The Mussel Shoal ££

Simple Alfresco Dining on the edge of the harbour, perfect for whiling away a summers evening with a bowl of mussels and a beer.

The Atlantic Inn £

Popular Free House on Peverell Terrace, a great spot to sit and enjoy a good sunset.
